Ubiwhere foresees the Future of Smart Cities in Live Broadcast at the University of Aveiro
Ubiwhere presents this month the event ’’The City Nervous System - Live Studio Hour’’, a live broadcast from the University of Aveiro, where the role of technology and connectivity for the generation of intelligence in Cities (Smart Cities) will be highlighted.
The Ubiwhere event, in Live Studio format and with online broadcasting, will take place on May 18, at 4 p.m. (WEST) and will comprise a set of sessions dedicated to the most relevant topics on this theme.
What kind of cities do we have today and what can we expect for tomorrow? How can technology accelerate intelligence and knowledge in cities? Are smart cities a place for people to live better?
These are some of the questions addressed in this event, which will take place in the Connected Intelligence Open Lab, by Ubiwhere, a new and recent space for experimentation and co-creation in Technology, Connectivity and Urban Intelligence located in the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics (DETI), University of Aveiro.
The webinar will also include a set of sessions aimed at disseminating the DETI’s valences, Ubiwhere as an employer and competitiveness projects based on Research and Technological Development, namely Urbsense, CityCatalyst (co-funded by COMPETE 2020) and FiQare (co-funded by CENTRO 2020).
In this first public initiative of the Connected Intelligence Open Lab, by Ubiwhere, will be discussed and anticipated the main characteristics of the Future Cities, that take advantage of Data Science, 5G network and Smart City concepts, based on the conclusions of the R&D investment that Ubiwhere has been leveraging in this area.
