IDC, in partnership with NOS Comunicações, presented the study “Cloud Computing: How to create value for your business?”

The idea of the study was to identify the state of maturity of Portuguese organisations regarding the adoption of computing services in the Cloud, what could be the developments over the next years, and identify the steps needed for the Portuguese organisations to create value in this new technological paradigm.

Most organisations in Portugal have not invested enough in the implementation of management processes, technologies and a set of skills that are necessary to achieve the majority of the objectives related to Cloud Computing. At the same time, most organisations that have adopted some sort of strategy related to Cloud Computing feel that their skills are not fully prepared to support their goals.
