Another trip to Smart City Expo

The event

There were more than 1,000 exhibitors and 700 cities represented. It was the 9th edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona and brought together representatives from all over the world. It was the meeting point for over 24,000 visitors who attended the largest global event in the smart cities sector.

Ubiwhere, for the 6th time in a row, was there. This year, it broke down all barriers and presented itself with the largest stand ever, with 120m2 and in the central district. It was one of the Industry Partners of the event, alongside companies like Huawei, Microsoft, Cisco or Deloitte. But once again it was up to the challenge.

Details that matter

This year, we wanted to be picky. We wanted to look at all the details and make a difference. We wanted to value sustainability and show that it is in the small things that we can make a difference in cities. We put on some sustainable ZOURI Shoes made of plastic taken from the sea. We drink and offer coffee in fully recyclable cups. We reused materials from previous years to build this year's stand.

We wanted to show that the motto of the event - “cities made of dreams” - can be easily attained with solutions that improve people's quality of life.

From the Urban Platform to the Smart Lamppost or the Mobility portfolio, we have shown that Ubiwhere solutions make an impact on cities and help make them happier, smarter, and with a better quality of life.

25 people flew to Barcelona to show what we are made of. From concept to construction, from logistics to communication: everything has been designed and executed by us. In the end, hearing that our booth was the best at the fair was gratifying enough to confirm that the dream is just the beginning and that next year it will be even better.
