Ubiwhere was born 15 years ago to create an innovative future for all. We were born in Aveiro, and today we affirm ourselves as one of the leading European technological reference companies in the areas of Smart Cities, Telecommunications, Future Internet and New Technologies, developing the best digital solutions every day.

Since the beginning, we have been driven by the ambition to implement cutting-edge and sustainably-based digital products in cities to respond to market challenges. How have we been able to evolve our trajectory of continuous growth? We have three key ingredients that have positioned Ubiwhere at the top leadership in the Smart Cities domain over these 15 years:

Research

For 15 years, our working philosophy has been the motto "From Idea to Product". We want to embrace new ideas and new projects. It is through this incentive that our motivation is fed day after day. Our products are unique and revolutionary, with a solid scientific research base: this distinguishes us from the technological business landscape in Portugal and worldwide.

With our insertion in some international consortiums, the success of our research (in areas like 5G) is undoubtedly based on the work supported by solid partnerships with companies and scientific organisations through our membership in important alliances like FIWARE, TICE.PT, CCAM, ETSI or ERTICO. Alliances that allow us to create technologies in and out of doors. Alliances that give wings to our research work and digital development of solutions with a single purpose: improving people’s lives.

From idea to product. From vision to reality. We have been naturally visionary for 15 years. We work daily to improve our internal processes to increase cost efficiency and provide quality products and services that exceed our customers’ expectations.

Internationalisation

In these 15 years, Ubiwhere has become a pioneer of the Smart Cities concept in Portugal and has implemented smart solutions in more than 60 cities worldwide. Our international presence allows us to keep abreast of the best practices in the world and incorporate them into the implementation of services for our customers.

With this global perspective, we mark our presence year after year in renowned stages such as the Smart City Expo World Congress. On the path of internationalisation, we have strengthened our presence in the Spanish, German and American markets, where we have been working. Ubiwhere is aware of the best being built technologically in the world. And in the world, we have been recognised for our work. Is it possible to dream of great goals? The Team

"Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships." We make Michael Jordan’s motto our own, motivating a team that works from vision to reality, from Portugal to the world. There are around 100 of us, and we form a multi-faceted and multi-skilled team, with members from different areas and levels of specialisation. We have grown, but we proudly maintain the start-up culture with which we were born, which challenges our creativity and entrepreneurial spirit allied with a notion of citizenship committed to sustainability principles.

In these 15 years of activity, we have learned that the future moves us and that we can be the force of change for a better world. And just as the world never stops turning, we never stop evolving. Let us all be part of this trajectory.
