Ubiwhere participated in QPARK, with the intention of enriching its current Smart Parking solution with urban planning functionalities to access new business opportunities and stand out from its competition in this crowded field. QPARK provided the additional capability of generating reports based on the analysis of which roads and parking areas of the city are mostly affected by certain events and situations.
With the support of QUANTICOL (the Future and Emerging Technologies project) and its technological outcomes, such as CARMA, a modelling language for Collective Adaptive Systems, Ubiwhere was able to model a system that accurately simulates the traffic and parking occupation of a city, based on real-life sensor readings in QPARK.
