Ubiwhere promotes Smart5Grid (H2020), Imagine-B5G and Ride2Autonomy at the Conference ANACOM “5G em Ação”
The 11th ANACOM Conference, centred on the theme “5G in action”, will take place on the 10th and the 11th of September 2024 in Lisbon. This event is aimed at companies, public organisations, city councils, and citizens in general and seeks to establish a platform for sharing knowledge and digital experiences. Ubiwhere is one of the companies invited to participate in this initiative and will present three research projects: Smart5Grid (H2020), Imagine-B5G and Ride2Autonomy.
For a day and a half, representatives from companies, operators, academia, consultancies, the military, Technology Free Zones, and other invited organisations will have the opportunity to share implemented projects, implementation plans, or new solutions they have trialled. This will provide a comprehensive and practical overview of the applications that can be implemented using 5G and their inherent advantages. Ubiwhere will showcase two technological research projects: Smart5Grid (H2020) and Imagine-B5G.
- Smart5Grid (H2020) aimed to revolutionise the energy vertical industry by successfully establishing four fundamental functions of modern smart grids and introducing an open 5G trial facility, supporting the integration, testing and validation of existing and new 5G services and NetApps. Ubiwhere’s contribution included providing a V&V framework and CI/CD pipelines. This project will be presented by Hélio Simeão, Product Owner at Ubiwhere, at the "5G in Energy" session on the 10th of September;
- Imagine-B5G enables concurrent trialling of high volumes of diverse innovative and advanced use cases from seven verticals - PPDR, smart agriculture, media, eHealth, education, transportation, logistics, Industry 4.0, and energy sectors. Ubiwhere’s contribution is to provide its edge computing platform, which efficiently collects and processes data to provide smooth real-time reporting, critical updates, and actionable intelligence. This project will be presented by Ana Pereira, Head of R&I at Ubiwhere, at the "5G in Sovereignty and Civil Protection" session on the 10th of September.
- Ride2Autonomy analyses the system performance because of safety and environmental impact, the socio-economic potential of the services, and its multimodal integration with the transport network. Ubiwhere was the leader of the Portuguese pilot product in Aveiro. Within this project’s scope, Ubiwhere focused on 5G infrastructure for V2X communication and community engagement and awareness activities, helping the municipality of Aveiro in the demonstration and pilot activities.
