Ubiwhere presented GR45 - Smart Destination at a seminar dedicated to sustainable tourism at the University of Aveiro
On the 4th of November, the Joaquim José Cunha Auditorium, at the Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração (ISCA) of the University of Aveiro, hosted the seminar ‘Conhecer, inspirar, transformar: o turismo como motor da transformação sustentável’, an event in which Ubiwhere participated by presenting a smart tourism project in which it will play a leading role in its implementation - the GR45 Grande Rota do Vale do Côa (Great Route of the Côa Valley).
The seminar entitled ‘Tourism as a Driver of Sustainable Transformation’ aimed to encourage reflection and debate on the role of tourism as a driver of sustainable practices, addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the sector in a context of ecological and social transition. The event was attended by experts and academics in the field, promoting the sharing of knowledge and good practices among the scientific community, industry professionals and students.
Ubiwhere was one of the entities invited to participate in the session ‘The sector’s vision of tourism as a driver of sustainable transformation’, led by Professor Rui Costa and featuring Fábio Oliveira, Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist at Ubiwhere, who presented the "GR45 - Grande Rota do Vale do Côa - where the paths of the past connect with the horizon of the future", a smart tourism project that benefits from Ubiwhere’s digital contribution.
The Grande Rota do Vale do Côa (GR45) is a unique journey along the banks of the majestic River Côa, where the paths intertwine with centuries of history. After collaborating and contributing to smart and sustainable tourism projects such as Turingranada and the Grande Rota da Viagem do Elefante (Great Elephant Journey Route), Ubiwhere will be responsible for making the GR45 experience even more enriching through new technological trends and digital transition, such as data collection and the integration of innovative features to improve the visitor experience.
