Ubiwhere organised a unique event on Smart Cities
Ubiwhere, a reference company in the Smart Cities area, presented last Tuesday, September 14th, at 3 pm, the event ’’Ubiwhere Smart Talks: Suiting the future of cities and software’’, at the Connected Intelligence Open Lab, by Ubiwhere, located at the premises of the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics (DETI) of the University of Aveiro.
The Ubiwhere event was focused on the presentation of practical results of several initiatives that make use of several cutting-edge technologies (IoT, Digital Twin, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, etc.) and that aim to improve not only software development standards but also the daily life of citizens, companies and visitors to cities.
Among these initiatives were highlighted:
- The fiQare project, co-financed by the programmes CENTRO 2020, Portugal 2020 and FEDER;
- The project Thumbeo Corporate, co-financed by programmes COMPETE 2020, Portugal 2020 and ERDF.
The event counted with the interventions of Ulrich Ahle, CEO of Fiware Foundation, focused on Software Standards for Cities, Rui Alheiro, Executive Board Member of PROEF, focused on a case study of Fleet Sharing, and David Macário, Innovation Manager of ERT Group, focused on The Industry point of view.
This event took place in the Connected Intelligence Open Lab, by Ubiwhere, a new and recent space for experimentation and co-creation in Technology, Connectivity and Urban Intelligence in the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics (DETI) of the University of Aveiro.
