Ubiwhere opens new innovation spaces of Digital Nervous System Testbed
On the 13th of December, at 2 pm, Ubiwhere will open the doors of the latest Digital Nervous System Testbed (DNS Testbed) innovation spaces, integrated into the new H.UB innovation centre, located at 45 Rua Manuel Firmino, in Aveiro. This event celebrates the provision of state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to support the development of emerging technologies and drive digital transformation in Portugal.
Designed to support companies, startups and professionals in adapting to the demands of a digital market, the Digital Nervous System Testbed innovation spaces offer a modern infrastructure that allows new technologies to be tested and validated in conditions close to the real thing. With well-equipped laboratories, they provide the ideal conditions for testing and implementing disruptive ideas, preparing them to meet organisations’ growing challenges. The infrastructures to be inaugurated include:
- Digital Nervous System Testbed Control Centre: an advanced control centre for simulating and testing complex digital systems, essential for the intelligent management of infrastructures;
- Digital Nervous System Testbed Makerspace: a practical and collaborative space where ideas can be prototyped, enabling the rapid and effective creation of solutions to concrete problems;
- Edge Tech Open Lab: a laboratory dedicated to developing and testing emerging technologies, focusing on solutions that harness the potential of cutting-edge computing.
The event will feature a special agenda that includes a guided tour of the Digital Nervous System Testbed infrastructures, with technological demonstrations, a time to share knowledge about the impact of these infrastructures on the digital ecosystem and a networking space with strategic partners and members of the DNS Testbed community.
In a period in which technological innovation is crucial for competitiveness and sustainability, these spaces have emerged as a reference environment for stimulating creativity, collaboration and the development of advanced digital solutions. The inauguration of these spaces will be attended by the Secretary of State for the Economy, João Rui Ferreira, and the co-CEOs of Ubiwhere, Nuno Ribeiro and Rui A. Costa.
Through these Digital Nervous System Testbed spaces, Ubiwhere aims to reinforce its mission of increasing digital transformation through experimentation and validation of digital solutions that shape the present and the future.
