Ubiwhere demonstrated the impact of the Route 25 and ATT projects at the 3rd Meeting of the Mobilising Agendas

Ubiwhere

Ubiwhere took part, on the 25th of June, in the 3rd Meeting of the Mobilising Agendas for Business Innovation, held at Europarque, in Santa Maria da Feira, where it presented the Route 25 and ATT projects. Under the motto “Innovation Moves the Country”, the initiative brought together Government representatives, public entities, companies and consortia supported by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

The meeting was dedicated to presenting the main developments and results achieved by the Mobilising Agendas, as well as reflecting on the future challenges of competitiveness, innovation and the transformation of the Portuguese economy. It was attended by the Minister for Environment and Energy, Maria da Graça Carvalho, the Minister for Economy and Territorial Cohesion, Manuel Castro Almeida, and the Secretary of State for Economy, João Rui Ferreira, reinforcing the strategic importance of the Mobilising Agendas as instruments of collaboration between companies, public entities, research centres and institutions from the national scientific and technological system.

The Mobilising Agendas for Business Innovation are one of the pillars of the PRR and aim to mobilise and strengthen the country’s scientific and technological capabilities through innovative and collaborative projects developed in consortium by companies, academic, scientific and technological institutions. These projects seek to transform knowledge into new products, processes and services with market potential, contributing to value creation and to increasing the competitiveness of the Portuguese economy.

Ubiwhere was represented by Ana Pereira, Head of R&I, who took part in the event to disseminate and present the Route 25 and ATT projects, two Mobilising Agendas in which Ubiwhere is part of the respective consortia and contributes specialised technological knowledge in areas such as smart mobility, IoT platforms, smart tourism, 5G, Digital Twins and Edge Computing. Route 25 stands out for its contribution to smart and sustainable mobility by promoting cooperation between public transport and personal vehicles, providing communication and sensing infrastructure to support the implementation of autonomous driving in different urban contexts. Within this scope, Ubiwhere contributes through its Smart Parking solution, exploring existing infrastructure in parking areas and testing it in public-private transport scenarios. ATT, in turn, is a regional smart destination platform focused on collecting and analysing information to support territorial management and improve the tourist experience throughout the customer journey. Through this project, Ubiwhere provides its expertise in IoT platforms and Smart Tourism, contributing directly to the interoperability component and to the integration of emerging technologies such as 5G, Digital Twins and Edge Computing.

Throughout the event, concrete examples of innovative solutions were presented, as well as experiences and good practices that demonstrated the contribution of the Mobilising Agendas to strengthening the productive capacity, innovation and competitiveness of the Portuguese economy. The new products resulting from these projects have a significant impact on strategic areas such as sustainable mobility, digital transition, smart territorial management and smart tourism, as exemplified by the Route 25 and ATT projects. Through its collaboration in these Mobilising Agendas, Ubiwhere continues to actively contribute to strategic initiatives that bring research, innovation and the market closer together, promoting value creation for the economy and society.
