Ubiwhere contributed to the debate on sustainable mobility at ENCEEC 2026

Ubiwhere

Nuno Ribeiro, co-CEO of Ubiwhere, participated as a speaker at the National Meeting of the Civil Engineering Speciality College (ENCEEC 2026), an event promoted by the Order of Engineers, which took place on the 28th of February at the António Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, in Porto. Under the theme “Axes of Progress: Housing, Urban Mobility and Infrastructure”, the initiative brought together experts, researchers, companies and decision-makers to reflect on the decisive role of Civil Engineering in shaping how societies live, work and move, in a context of continuous urban transformation.

Ubiwhere’s participation featured an intervention by Nuno Ribeiro, co-CEO, who joined Panel 2 – “The Dilemma of Sustainable Mobility in Portugal”, in a roundtable moderated by Paula Teles, CEO of MPT – Mobilidade e Planeamento do Território, Lda. During the session, dedicated to the theme “Smart Mobility and Smart Cities”, the main challenges and opportunities associated with urban mobility were discussed, particularly in a context marked by the digital transition, the need for decarbonisation and the increasing pressure on urban infrastructures.

In his intervention, Nuno Ribeiro presented Ubiwhere’s vision for smarter, more sustainable and people-centred cities, highlighting the role of technology in building more efficient, interoperable and data-driven urban ecosystems. He also emphasised the importance of integrating different sources of urban information to support more informed strategic decisions and to improve the experience of citizens, urban managers and public decision-makers. Among the examples presented, particular emphasis was placed on Ubiwhere’s Urban Platform, a technological solution that enables the integration, monitoring and analysis of urban data in real time, contributing to more efficient territorial management and the development of innovative digital services. The presentation also included the Route 25 project, an initiative that demonstrates how the combination of data, connectivity and artificial intelligence can support new urban mobility models, promoting smarter traffic management, better coordination between transport modes and a more efficient use of existing infrastructures.

More than a technical conference, ENCEEC 2026 established itself as a space for knowledge sharing and strategic vision. Ubiwhere’s participation in the event reinforced the company’s commitment to urban innovation and to developing technological solutions that place digital intelligence at the service of cities and communities.
