Ubiwhere challenged students from the University of Coimbra to solve problems for the efficient management of smart cities: the mission was accomplished!

The 8th of February was marked by Ubiwhere's participation in the ‘Case Study’ event, organised by the Civil Engineering Student Group at the University of Coimbra. Ubiwhere presented a challenge to the students of the degree in Sustainable and Smart Cities Management related to urban innovation and sustainability, putting them at the centre of decision-making for the cities of the future. And the results were surprising!
The ‘Case Study’ was an initiative of the Civil Engineering Student Centre at the University of Coimbra, which aimed to invite students to solve a real problem for a well-known company, create innovative solutions as a team and come up with a winning idea that would entitle them to a very important prize for the young university students’ professional future. The challenge lasted twelve hours and involved students from the Civil Engineering and Sustainable and Smart Cities Management degrees.
Ubiwhere was one of the companies invited to share a challenge with the students of the Sustainable and Smart Cities Management degree. Sandra Barnabé, Innovation Manager, represented Ubiwhere at the event and launched a challenge connected to innovation and urban sustainability, putting the students at the centre of decision-making for the cities of the future. As well as putting their knowledge and skills to the test, the students from the winning team of the challenge launched by Ubiwhere received the possibility of a curricular internship at our company as a prize. Congratulations and good luck to the lucky winners and future Ubi-members!
