Innovation, Digital Transition, and Technology: the main topics discussed in Webinar #1 - The Digital Nervous System Testbed: A Comprehensive Demonstration of the Findings

This webinar was attended by a renowned speaker, Tom de Block, representing AIOTI, and members of our team, including Ana Pereira (R&I Dissemination Manager), Sandra Barnabé (DNS Testbed Project Manager), Ricardo Vitorino (Head of Technical Communication), Rita Santiago (Head of R&I and PMO) and Jorge Catarino (Embedded Systems Engineer).

According to Ricardo Vitorino, one of the webinar’s speakers: "Startups and SMEs can benefit from Edge Computing services that process data and videos and can automate processes to make concrete decisions through effective analyses, as well as Cloud Computing services that, taking advantage of Ubiwhere’s experience, provide centralised data management, resource scalability and cost efficiency. The DNS Testbed offers these components adaptable to more than ten sectors: Smart Cities, Mobility, Telecommunications, Smart Tourism, Blue Economy, Information and Communication Technology, Health, Energy, Industry and Construction, where innovation and agility are essential."

As Sandra Barnabé explained during the session, companies that want to join the DNS Testbed must submit the product or service they want to develop or test on the form available on the official website. The idea will then be analysed. After this step, a meeting will be scheduled if there is a match between what the company is looking for and what DNS Testbed by Ubiwhere has to offer. Once this phase is over, the company will begin its onboarding process at DNS Testbed, benefiting from technological support from a highly qualified team.

The main goal of Webinar #1 - "The Digital Nervous System Testbed: A Comprehensive Demonstration of the Findings" was achieved: during the session, the Digital Nervous System Testbed was presented, all the work it has done and how Portuguese startups and SMEs can benefit from edge-to-cloud services, thereby reducing their operating costs and speeding up the launch of products and services on the market.
