FUTUREGION SUMMERCAMP - A summer school organised by Ubiwhere to promote digital transformation and urban innovation
Waves of innovation are coming to Aveiro: from the 7th to the 11th of July, Ubiwhere is organising the FUTUREGION SUMMERCAMP at the University of Aveiro. A summer school that will bring together public administration professionals, innovative start-ups, SMEs and university students, to promote practical training and the exchange of knowledge in the areas of digital transformation, urban innovation and intelligent land management. FUTUREGION SUMMERCAMP is a practical response to the challenges of digitalisation in the public and private sectors, with a focus on managing smart territories. For five days, university students, public administration professionals, municipal entities, innovative start-ups, and SMEs will come together in a space of practical knowledge to debate solutions for smarter, more resilient, and citizen-centred territories.
This innovative initiative organised by Ubiwhere aims to provide a practical and enriching experience to stimulate innovation and foster the development of skills with practical application of knowledge in the strategic areas of digital transformation and transition in the business context and the public sector through direct contact with tools that support decisions in areas such as mobility, the environment, planning and management of urban services.
The FUTUREGION SUMMERCAMP will include a programme designed to provide participants with a hands-on experience, with emphasis on: intensive practical sessions focused on exploring and using urban management platforms, technical masterclasses led by experts in the areas of territorial innovation and digital transformation, sharing of experiences and networking between professionals from the public, academic and business sectors, and discussion of real use cases with direct application in municipal contexts.
With a carefully designed agenda and excellent speakers, such as Miguel de Castro Neto, Director of NOVA Information Management School and Coordinator of NOVA Cidade: Urban Analytics Lab, FUTUREGION SUMMERCAMP focuses on key areas such as: Artificial Intelligence applied to public management, Sustainable Cities and Social Innovation, the contribution of the PRR to Smart Territories, Urban Management, Territorial Sustainability, Digital Governance and Open Data, Cloud, Edge Computing, IoT, Cybersecurity & Interoperability and Financing digital solutions.
