From research to technological sovereignty: Ubiwhere reinforces its commitment to 6G innovation at the EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026
From the 2nd to the 5th of June, Ubiwhere will attend the 2026 EuCNC & 6G Summit in Málaga, Spain, one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to the evolution of mobile communications, Beyond 5G networks and future 6G systems. In this edition, Ubiwhere will be focused on disseminating the 6G-Cloud and 6G-TWIN projects.
Ubiwhere’s participation in the event will be marked by its presence in the session “The SME Factor in Europe’s Sovereignty”, which will aim to highlight the strategic role of small and medium-sized enterprises in strengthening Europe’s sovereignty, resilience and technological competitiveness in the context of the transition to 6G. The session will bring together members of the NetworldEurope SME Working Group, who will present concrete contributions to demonstrate how SMEs drive innovation, technological independence and the strengthening of the European telecommunications ecosystem. As a member of the NetworldEurope SME Working Group, Ubiwhere will be represented by Ana Pereira, Head of R&I, who will present our contribution to strengthening European technological sovereignty, showing how, through our digital solutions and research projects, we are helping to accelerate innovation. The session will also promote a joint reflection on the main challenges faced by SMEs, seeking to identify solutions that increase their visibility, integration and impact within the European 6G ecosystem.
The 6G-Cloud and 6G-TWIN projects reflect Ubiwhere’s contribution to the evolution of future 6G networks through the development of smarter, more efficient and resilient solutions. In 6G-Cloud, Ubiwhere leads dissemination and exploitation activities, while also contributing to architecture, resource orchestration and prototype development. In 6G-TWIN, Ubiwhere is part of the consortium working on new approaches based on digital twins, promoting a cyber-physical continuum between the real world and its digital representation.
The EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026 brings together two leading conferences in the telecommunications field: EuCNC, in its 35th edition and supported by the European Commission, and the 6G Summit, in its 8th edition, originating from Finland’s 6G Flagship programme. Ubiwhere’s presence at the 2026 EuCNC & 6G Summit underlines the company’s commitment to developing advanced solutions for telecommunications, intelligent digital infrastructures and more connected cities. Through the 6G-Cloud and 6G-TWIN projects, Ubiwhere will continue to contribute to the development of more autonomous, efficient and resilient 6G networks, promoting collaborative innovation and positioning Europe at the forefront of digital transformation.
