We are present at the Wireless Meeting 2014

We are participating at the Wireless Meeting 2014, which is being held at Centro Cultural e de Congressos de Aveiro, in Portugal, today, 9th of October.

The Wireless Meeting (WM 2014) is the largest event held in Portugal on wireless technologies, positioning itself as a milestone in the national calendar of technology events.
This event is already in its 4th edition and it is expected to be a place where we will have the opportunity to network with the industry’s top decision-makers, including SME’s and large companies, municipalities, public bodies, private and public education institutions, IT directors and manufacturers among others.

We will be present at this event showcasing rprobe, a Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) signal monitoring platform, in a consortium between Ubiwhere and Wavecom

rprobe supports the latest digital TV broadcast standards: DVB-T, DVB-T2/Lite and DVB-C. It can collect several DVB-T signal parameters such as signal level (RSSI), modulation error rate (MER), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), among other important DVB parameters, showing these ones in real-time or in a statistical way, allowing representation, identification and characterization. We will have live demonstrations that you shouldn’t miss.

This year, and in parallel with the conference, the Wireless Meeting launched two challenges:

  • A contest of innovative technological ideas in the Wireless sector – Wireless Idea. The ideas will be evaluated by a qualified jury, where the most innovative technological idea, after elected, can be framed in an acceleration program in Silicon Valley and funded up to 1 million euros;
  • The assignment of a WM Innovation Award 2014 that provides funding for 50% of the value of an innovative project of wireless technology up to € 200,000.

All editions are held in the city of Aveiro, given the proximity to the Institute of Telecommunications from the University of Aveiro and the TICE Pole. Learn more about the Wireless Meeting 2014 and what you may expect about it.
