Stayover Fátima–Tomar: a digital strategy promoting the Médio Tejo as an integrated destination

Ubiwhere developed the web portal for the Stayover Fátima–Tomar project, designed to promote the Médio Tejo as an integrated tourism destination with numerous opportunities to explore.

The project aims to enhance the territory’s value by showcasing its cultural, heritage, and natural identity, while encouraging longer stays and more authentic experiences for visitors to the region.

 

 

The portal was designed as a digital showcase of the region, presenting its culture, points of interest and a wide range of experiences to the world. The concept is simple and appealing: each user who books two or more nights at a participating accommodation unit earns points on their Stayover Card, which can then be redeemed for experiences, discounts or free entry to local attractions. In addition, the platform encourages the discovery of the Médio Tejo by combining accommodation with nature, adventure, historical heritage, gastronomy and leisure experiences. Beyond a conventional stay, the portal offers an immersive experience of the territory, inviting visitors to connect with local communities, their culture, flavours, aromas, and lesser-known places, creating lasting memories.

 

Ubiwhere was responsible for the full development of the portal, including the UI/UX design, ensuring intuitive, engaging navigation aligned with the project’s identity. Beyond the technological component, Ubiwhere also supported the implementation of the communication strategy, working with the press and digital channels, with a particular focus on social media, to strengthen the initiative’s visibility and reach.

 

The Stayover Fátima–Tomar portal stands out as a strategic tool for promoting tourism in the Médio Tejo, integrating technology, communication and user experience. Developed by Ubiwhere, the project helps position the region as a distinctive destination in Portugal.
