Ubiwhere develops a marketplace to boost local retail in Miranda do Douro

The ‘Bairro Comercial Digital La Nubre an Miranda’ is a key initiative for the economic revitalisation of Miranda do Douro, offering a strategic opportunity to modernise retail, services, hospitality, and the restaurant sector within the municipality.

Developed and implemented by Ubiwhere, the project combines digital solutions with enhanced public spaces, promoting a more connected, competitive retail model prepared for the challenges of the digital transition.

“La Nubre an Miranda” represents a significant boost to the local economy, encouraging businesses to adapt to evolving market demands and digital consumer habits. At the heart of the project is the creation of a digital ecosystem that strengthens the online presence of local establishments and extends their activity beyond physical and geographical limitations. The marketplace serves as an online sales and booking platform, providing each business with a dedicated page to manage products and services, process payments, and communicate directly with customers, fostering greater autonomy and visibility.

 

The solution is complemented by a dedicated mobile application and the installation of two digital MUPIs in public spaces, increasing the visibility of local businesses and ongoing campaigns. Providing Wi-Fi across the commercial district further enhances urban connectivity, bringing retailers, consumers, and visitors closer together.

 

With “La Nubre an Miranda”, Miranda do Douro takes a decisive step towards a more modern, connected and resilient local retail sector, creating new growth opportunities in an increasingly digital landscape.
