The largest smart parking management project ever carried out in Portugal, providing a real-time information system in Guimarães municipality, which monitors over 900 parking spaces, including on-street spaces, found on streets, avenues and public places, and off-street spaces which concern a parking area or parking lot.
In many developed or developing countries, the rapid increase in the sales of vehicles has led to problems such as limited car parking facilities and traffic, along with improper management of parking spaces. This problem can be solved by using improved features such as notification of available free space or live updates of space reservation using smart parking technology.
