A Pocket-Sized Tourist Guide

Ubiwhere presented a pocket-sized digital tourist guide and data aggregator for the Geopark Litoral de Viana do Castelo, offering visitors an immersive and informative experience. The main goal was to bridge the gap between the Geopark and smart tourism technologies, by developing a new website, digital content, and mobile application.

 

The platform provides visitors with contextual information about the park, including weather conditions and suggestions for accommodations and dining options.

 

 

Ubiwhere’s innovative use of immersive technologies, such as Augmented Reality information modules and Geofencing mechanisms, enhances the visitor’s journey by allowing quantification of time spent and access to cartographic elements, textured 3D objects, photography, and panoramic animations.  

The project’s culmination results in a territory enriched with innovative and technological conditions for conserving and enjoying its unique geological heritage, positioning Geopark Litoral de Viana do Castelo as a leading destination for smart tourism experiences.  

The culmination of the project endowed the territory with innovative and technological conditions for the conservation and tourist enjoyment of the differentiated geological heritage of this territory.
