A day as a EU Programmes Manager:

  • You strive to understand the EU ecosystem, its policies and priorities for R&I, in order to support the technical managers in defining the company strategy for Smart Cities and Telecommunications together with the products' roadmaps;
  • You travel to attend exciting events all over EU to network and meet with the best research centers, the most qualified universities and the most active industries, among other EU actors part of the innovation value chain (like cities, public authorities, associations...)
  • You have several online and face-to-face meetings to discuss thrilling opportunities for collaboration under the most competitive EU programmes
  • You follow active EU associations and platforms to contribute to the EU vision on smart cities and information and communication technologies
  • You identify funding opportunities in EU programmes aligned with Ubiwhere's R&I strategy
  • You lead the definition and draft of R&I proposals to competitive EU funding opportunities

Your out-of-the-box skills

  • MsC. in any field (a PhD should be valued)
  • Knowledge in Information and Communication Technologies (buzzwords like IoT, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Smart Cities... should not scare you!)
  • More than 3 years of experience in H2020 (acronyms like PPP, JTI, RIA, CSA... should not scare you!)
  • Contacts in EU R&I ecosystem should be highly valued
  • Availability to travel
  • Proficient in English (another EU language should be valued)
  • Communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to manage, mentor and motivate people;
  • Resilience;
  • Strategic thinking
  • Demonstrable success rate in H2020 submissions should be highly valued
